CAMPBELL library - ALTERNATE SCHEME

During the conceptual design phase of the Campbell Library design process, two alternate concepts were developed. This scheme was named the “Town Square” scheme based on the emphasis on a vibrant gathering space in the center of the library anchored by a grand bleacher staircase. The space forms the heart of the building, a place to gather, interact, and engage with the community. The exterior of the building is nestled in a park like civic center complex, with mature trees framing the library. The green metal façade is designed to blend in to the green back drop, with playful angular windows framing view into the library from the exterior and vice versa.
